![]() ![]() Don't always have internet so access to music on phone is important. After searching this community and the internet and spending about 3hr with apple support on phone and in person at the local Genius Bar, the only thing solution we could figure out was that I had to have a subscription to Apple Music to transfer the actual music files to my phone so that I can play them. Music that I had purchased from Apple did play. After restoring the new 14 from a backup, I found that all of the songs that I had copied from cd to my computer would not play on my new phone. I have 80 gb of music that I have copied from cd's that I own to my MacBook that I have been synching with my iPhone 8 for the last few years. I just upgraded from an 8 Plus to the 14 Pro. I have reviewed a lot of comments and u have been most helpful. Question to Turingtest2 Turingtest2, I hope you are still active. How can I get rid of this annoying issue? Is it a problem with the converting of the songs? I have set them to be converted to 192kBit/s. I think it fixed some songs, but the problem is still there. I have just removed all my music from the iPhone and synced it from scratch. My Music library on my MacBook (11.2.3.) is based on an iTunes library and stored on an external hard disk. ![]() The song plays fine on my desktop Music app and on VLC on iPhone. Songs are not set to fade and there is no stopp setting in place. The song in question was downloaded from Bandcamp. That means I cannot listen to the end of the affected songs. if I drag the playhead to 4:26, Song B start playing for the remainder 1:06 min. The problem is reproduced when I drag the playhead past the point where it skips in Song A. The skip happens always at the same position for a song. Song B continues to play until its end – if it does not have the same issue and skips as well. The following 1:16 minutes Song B continues, after which the display switches to Song B, the audio continuing seamlessly, the playhead jumping to minute 1:16. Then Song B starts from its beginning, with Song A still being shown to be playing normally. When the runtime of the first song ends, the premature song continues playing and the songhead jumps to the corresponding position of that song.įor example: Song A is 5:33 min long and plays fine until 4:16. But the song being displayed as playing is still the one that is supposed to play. At some seemingly random point in the song, the next song starts playing. The music app on my iPhone 7 (iOS 14.6) skips songs in a weird way. ![]()
